Up early…
The day has arrived (Countdown timer is in hours and minutes only) and I’m up early - 5am. Take this opportunity to add a couple of new features to the site and check out functionality of gallery upload (don’t want to have any hassles whilst we’re away). Currently testing a new geo-posting feature that adds a Google Map to the bottom of each post with it’s location. Should be cool to see where we are posting from while on the honeymoon.
Post your photos from the Day
I have received several requests for a photo upload facility so here you go. Register as a contributor to the site and then upload your photos to the “userpics” gallery to share with others. Recently added pics are displayed on the front page in the sidebar to the right of screen.
Getting there…
Bec & I both spent a bit of time adding content to the site tonight and getting ready to add content easily while we are away. There are a couple of Google maps to see where the Ceremony and Reception will be and where we’ll be going on the Honeymoon.
The Registry is functioning well enough for launch. Bec has populated the gift list and I added gallery integration to the bottom of the page so items that are not clear from the name are better illustrated.
Gallery function added
NextGen Gallery installed and pages are now modified to include galleries. Registry Page modified to include integrated photos of list items.
Registry & RSVP Functions Updated
Modifcations have been made to the Registry function. WP-Lists plugin by Navid Azimi was poked and prodded until it functioned like the plugin I am trying to write. The hack hiding the description pages for the registry items from the frontpage remains inplay to provide more detailed descriptions of list items.
A guestbook was added last week and that page has been renamed to function as an RSVP for invites.
Gift Registry function added
Hacked together an inelegant solution for the Gift Registry while I teach myself to program for WordPress. I spent all day Saturday and the better part of Sunday before I gave up writing my own fully functioning plugin and hacked the frontpage and archive templates to enable a Gift Registry of sorts.

Track the days, hours and minutes until we say “I do” using the widget in the right hand menu.
